Episode One -
Asteroid City
Lost in another galaxy, the Warriors of Gar
pilot their battered Flying Saucer towards an asteroid city.
Jo'din
"We need a name for the ship."
Terri "Is that really important right now?"
Jo'din "How about, Princess of Gar?"
Terri "I will hurt you."
Jo'din "Why are you so mean?" (sticking her tongue out at the
Garbarian Warrior)
Torm "Junior is the only one of us without a ship, he should
name it."
Junior "Great the ship we'll likely leave behind is mine.
Thanks for that."
Jo'din "Well?"
Junior (sigh) *Okay, the Uggernaut."
Jo'din "what's an Uggernaut?"
Junior "It's actually a small walker combat vehicle. But I've
always liked the name."
The Flying Saucer is taken into the asteroid city on automation. A
multitude of alien starships surround the Space City.
Terri "I don't recognise any of these ships."
Junior "We're a long way from home. Funny that."
Terri cuts her eyes at Junior.
Aboard the Asteroid city a tall, lanky alien hunches over to address
the party.
Alien "[TOCK TOCK TIK CHOCK TIKKA]"
Torm "Ah, language."
Torm trues gesturing some symbols. Junior runs inside the Flying
Saucer.
Junior "Computer. We need translators."
A bleep follows with a hatch opening. Inside are several click on
discs. Junior runs back outside and hands them to the party.
Torm "Shall we try again?, My name is Torm. We need to use
your facilities."
Alien "500 Kreds for use of docking facilities."
Torm "Ah... we have no currency here."
Terri "I though you were mister money?"
Torm "Oh I so am. (to the alien) Thank you, can I pay
later."
Alien "Pay at the booth. The ship will be locked down
until then."
Torm "Thank you, much appreciated."
None
of the multitude of aliens can be recognised other than a few human
looking.
Torm asks around and finds a dealer who will
pawn his ship, a grisly looking alien. Torm accepts 5000 Kreds
for the flying Saucer and is given two days to buy it back at a cost
of 6000 Kreds. The alien laughs as Torm accepts the terms.
The Warriors find the equivalent of a Cantina,
and casino, just what Torm was after. He soon finds a couple
of guys playing what is a very close approximation to Sabacc and
joins the game. 500 Kreds is the bet.
GM note: despite being in a galaxy
far, far away I used the ugavine.com Sabacc rules

Torm loses the first two hands, then wins the
third to a Pure Sabacc hand from the lesser gambler, only to play
Pure Sabacc himself. A couple more hands and Torm is 2500
Kreds up before he thanks the guys for the game.
Terri "Seriously, you've made money
already?"
Torm "Making money is easy. I'll go get the ship back.
Junior go pay the docking fee and fix up the ship. Everyone,
try and find what you can about Hyper-Gates."
Torm returns to the ship pawn brokers.
Broker "You're back quickly."
Torm hands over 6000 Kreds.
Broker "You said you had no Keds."
Torm "As I just said to my friend, making money is
easy. That'll be the easiest 1000 Kreds you've made."
Broker "With that skill I could offer you a job."
Torm "Appreciate it, but I have to get home."
Torm (Streetwise - 27) learns that this galaxy
was devastated in a war between two races called the Yuuzhan Vong
and Abominors. Most fled to the out systems like this with
Core Worlds being left desolate. He did learn of a world
called Acrocorinth in the Core which supposedly had a
Hype-Gate, but no knowledge on it being used.
Junior also learns of a planet of learning
that has the galaxies largest library on a world called Pergamon.
Making their way back to the Flying Saucer the
Warriors fail to notice they are being followed by an alien hunter
seeking unusual specimens.
They take off and set course to Pergamon as it
is the closest destination, but will still take fives days at Warp
speed.
To be continued...
