The Blood Drift The Blood Drift is an immense nebula. It is so named the Blood Drift for the rich red colour of the nebula gases that make passage to the sector difficult. The Blood Drift is not easy to pass. To navigate the Blood Drift requires; Three micro-hyperspace jumps (Difficulty: Moderate - V.Difficult) Travel takes 3D6 hours. Should any ship become lost in the drift they are in trouble. Rogue asteroids traveling at great speeds are disasters waiting to happen, and the effects of the mists disrupt all sensors and communications. It takes a Very Difficult - Heroic Search roll to find your way back onto a hyper-lane. If any failed Astrogation check mishap roll resulting in Off-Course must roll a D6 again and may result in hitting a Space Mine that will cause Severe Damage to the ship; Starfighter Class - Roll of 1

1-2 Beyond the Blood Drift lies a large Sector of closely nit planets and systems. Despite the planets relative closeness travel can still take time as the Blood Drift still takes its toll. There are only a few major hyper-routes through the sector, and any unarmed vessels are easy prey for pirates. The Empire does not patrol the Blood Drift. Officially the Sector falls under the command of Grand Moff Ravikk. The law of the Blood Drift is kept by Peace-Keepers and the Blood Guard. This over-zealous police force causes as much terror as they are supposed to defend against. The Blood Drift is ruled by the Empress Supreme, also known as the Blood Empress, a title Emperor Palpatine would like disbanded. The Empress Supreme does take an interest in her subjects. The Empresses Court consists of representatives of the strongest worlds of the the Blood Drift.
Major planets in the Sector include; Astorath - a barren world long deserted. A few crumbling remains. This is the first planet encountered upone leaving the Blood Drift from the Rimma Trade Route. Gar - you'll much more information on this infamous pre-industrial world of kings and queen, barbarians and warriors. Archeron - Capital World, and seat of power for the Blood Emperor/Empress. The Blood Palace is at the centre of the capital city, The Spiral City of Archeron Argos IX - a trading world with lines to the Banking Clan and old Trade Federation. Tang Rock - a high tech world, and produced of the galaxies finest repulsorlift engines. Valkor - barren barbaric world near Gar.

The Planet Gar The planet Gar is located just off the Blood Run, a hyper-lane running through the Blood Drift Sector. The Blood Run is in effect an continuation of the Rimma Trade Route. Gar is a large planet and from space appears as a multitude of bright colours reflecting the contrasting regions of the planet. The planets tilt is minor and it has no satellites meaning there is little change in the seasons or tides. Each pole is constantly capped with snow and ice. The primary continent to the north, known as the Barren Lands, is a barren red sand desert. Crops can not grow on the surface, but subterranean plant life does exist, although any cave that has an abundance of these precious food sources is usually guarded by the troops of the Red King who owns the desert. As you go south away from the planets equator the temperature becomes more temperate with immense grasslands, forests and valleys dominating the countryside. There are still mountainous areas dividing regions and kingdoms, these are often inhabited by bandits looking to raid the unsuspecting traveller who tries to cross the mountains. Further south and the temperature drops and rain is almost constant turning the ground into mud with swamps and bogs common place. Across the sea to the west of the Kingdoms lie the Amazon Lands. Though the Amazons do trade with sea farers they do not permit outsiders beyond the confines of the sea ports. The Amazons are a proud race of warrior women who are more than capable of defending their territory. The Eastern Lands makes up the only other major continent. The Eastern Lands are lawless wastelands. Mostly mountains and dessert the Eastern Lands are populated by bandits and ferocious creatures but covers an area three times that of the Western continent.
